Editorial & Sourcing Policy

Last verified: September 16, 2026 · Educational content

Financial content requires careful sourcing. Our goal is to distinguish primary-source facts, provider-published claims and editorial explanation.

Source hierarchy

For tax and retirement-account rules we prefer IRS material. For provider minimums, fees and processes we prefer current provider documents. For risk and investor protection we use regulators and investor-education sources.

Updates

Material pages display a verification date. Provider terms and tax rules can change; readers should confirm current documents before acting.

What we do not claim

We do not claim firsthand customer experience unless documented, do not manufacture ratings or testimonials, and do not guarantee investment outcomes.

Minimum depth standard

We do not consider a page complete merely because it has a title, introductory paragraph and CTA. A substantive page should explain the mechanism behind the query, identify material trade-offs, give the reader concrete due-diligence questions, connect to primary sources, and provide a useful next research step.

Provider claims

When a statement comes from a provider—such as a minimum purchase, fee example or service-process description—we label or frame it as provider-published information. We do not silently convert marketing language into an independent factual endorsement.
